Grief has many causes.  Whether it is the death of a loved one, loss of physical ability, illness, the breakdown of a close relationship, or even the loss of a job, it is natural to grieve.  But working through these feelings can be challenging and overwhelming.

 

The experience of grief, loss or bereavement is an intensely personal thing.  Your response to tragic events depends not only on past experience, but on your current frame of mind.

 

Friends and family sometimes find it difficult to offer support during these times, particularly if they are grieving themselves.
